Week 2 in Cali

BESTIES!  I miss you all so much! This week has been so good! Alot better than last week! I was starting getting a little sad last week! We have a zone group chat! And everyday people send in little miracle videos and every missionary that came in with my group are all sending these amazing miracle that had happened to them the first week! And we couldn't get a single door to open for us! So I started becoming down on myself! And since we are a social media mission we do alot of work on Facebook! And no one responded to me! So we never had any miracles to send into our chat!  When we first got here we were challenged to pick a christlike attribute! So Sunday I decided I wanted to pick patience! Not only patience in myself! I want to be patience with the work and patience with the miracles that's come with being a missionary! So thats what I started working on everyday! And instead of being down on myself I tried to be more positive! I started to be more hopeful instead of negat

BESTIES!! I finally made it to the mission!! Tuesday we flew into cali and once we got off the plane we drove to riverside to go to the mission office and we had a meeting with all the new people and their trainers!! It was super fun to finally meet everyone and meet the mission president and his family! Then we got our companions and I'm so sad I'm not with sister case from the mtc but I'm praying that we will be together before we leave! It's bond to happened at least once right??  Anyways then we drove to Temecula which is the farthest zone in the area! The drive wasn't too bad! Then we made it to our apartment and holy it's alot nicer than I thought it would be! Us and another companionship live there and the two trainer decorated the room all cute! Then we put our bags down and went to work! We had a dinner appointment which was the best food I've had in 2 ish weeks! We we've actually had dinner appointments everyday this last week! And oh my gosh t

Tuesday and Sunday nights in the mtc are devotional nights!! Tuesday nights we have a general authority come speak with us! It was seriously so amazing!! It was elder Matthew S. Holland of the seventy! But the person it was actually supposed to be was Elder Jeffery R. Holland who is Matthew's dad!!!! It was so cool! He told us how his dad loves to speak with the missionaries and when he does he just goes from the spirit and doesn't prepare anything or write down a single talk! But this time he did he wrote a talk to share with us and then the next day got super sick and asked his son Matthew to read it for us! It was such an amazing talk and the spirit was so strong! Everyone in my district heard something they needed to hear that night! It was cool to because we did a devotional review as a district and after we did a little testimony meeting and I think that was the time I felt the spirit the most at the mtc it was truly amazing!! Thursday we had a meeting about leaving the m

HELLO FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!  I've currently been a missionary for 2 weeks and in the real mtc for one week!! This is honestly been a super fun week but mega confusing!! I definitely BAWLED my eyes out the day I got here but only when I got dropped off and then I calmed down when I had to carry my 2-50 pound suitcases up FOUR FLIGHT OF STAIRS AND AFTER I FOUND OUT THERE WAS A FREAKIN ELEVATOR!!!!!! I was so upset that no one told me there was an elevator! Then that night we had an amazing devotional and yall would be surprised I've only cried once since I got dropped off! And I've just been singing the arianne grenda song "no tears left to cry" because that has been me this whole week!!!  All we do is breakfast class lunch class dinner and a workshop or devotional!! Im usually the last one out of bed in the morning ( all 6 girls in my district sleep in the same room) and then every night we have been hanging out as a district and it has been been fun to get to know
